Yesterday morning, we attended a writer's workshop about writing with a scientific style. Sandra addressed clarity, conciseness, preciseness, consistency, tone, and readability. I thought that it was very interesting. One of the most helpful parts, in my opinion, was the blueprint for making a definition: provide the term, it's class, and distinguishing features.

In the afternoon, we spent more time working with MATLAB. I feel that I have grasped the basics and look forward to using MATLAB to make more complex comparisons and observations. I understand how to instruct MATLAB to create several different types of graphs including scatterplots and timeseries, and I can add color bars to compare more variables. I enjoy using MATLAB and I hope that I will be able to use it more next week.

Today, we gave a presentation about what we had done this week. This included the workshop, MATLAB, and RDFS. Next week, in addition to using MATLAB to make observations, we will be assisting Karen in making a Facebook Page for CMOP K-12 Education. Monica and I had tried to do so this morning, but Karen needed to be there for us to make it correctly.
