Week 2

This week was a little crazy but pretty fun. I continued working with Frontpage to get practice for the real website that I was going to work on for the Estuary Watch. On Tuesday all the us got to go to the Primate Center for lunch. I really wanted to see the monkeys but I was told that we were not going to be able to get a tour...I was sad.

On Wednesday my mentor Nirzwan took me and Khalilha to the Whole Foods store and bought us a Popsicle. That has been one of the best days so far. There at the store we got so much free food from the sample things around the store. We got things like watermelon, chips, cheese, cookies and melon water. It was really awesome and I didn't want to leave the store but we had to go back to work...ughhh.>_<.haha...(:

The NSF Site Visit was so long, tiring and exhausting. Lunch was good, we got free food and we also got the chance to talk to some of the NSF people. They asked a lot of questions but it was kind on nice to share with others what we were going to be working on for the whole summer.

Friday was kind of a chill day for all of us high school interns...well at least for me.(: In the morning we talked to Beyta about our internship and then about college. At noon we had the brown bag seminar. This time it was about tribes. It was pretty cool, especially the part when Se-ah-dom Edmo told us the story about the snake boy. I almost forgot to mention that I didn't see my mentor until it was almost time for me to go. He said he didn't know that we were here today...weird...haha(:
