Navigating the Network
First, let's have a look at the observation network. On the screen below, you can see the positions of the sensors that make up the network (this is an active map that can be zoomed and repositioned as you like).
Clicking on a marker will take you to the real-time data webpage for that station. Explore the various stations and you will undoubtedly find a few that are off-line. Maintaining a large network of sensors is extremely labor intensive, and the Columbia River can give equipment quite a beating, so the data streams are occasionally disrupted.
