The Great Findings- WK 1

Week 1:
I started out my internship with this great sense of adventure.I couldn't wait to see what kind of things I was going to be learning this summer. Within the first week, I learned about the Science and Technology University Research Network (SATURN), our global estuary initiative, and what makes an estuary, an estuary. I got to have great conversation with my mentor, Katie, about the pollutants and how they enter water sources from different areas on the west coast. All the information that I had read just allowed my mind to wonder all the possibilities for future research.
