Week 8 - Good Results!

 
This week brought us good news! We were able to find a trend in the data analysis of all the different temperature experiments that we ran.  At the beginning of the week, after presenting the data to Andrei, we realized that there was a difference in data gathered with the CMOP sensor and the Sharp sensors. Andrei decided that there was possibly something wrong with the tubes being used to hold the DNA here at CMOP. We came to the decision to drop all of the CMOP ran data and rerun the same experiments at Sharp.  After re-running the experiments throughout the week, we were able to see a trend in the gathered data at different temperatures which was our overall goal.  The data showed that the single probe and 1-rev multiple probe sensor had a similar trend. It also showed that the 1-rev multiple probe sensor gave a higher response than the single probe sensors!  Next, we are testing to see what exactly causes a difference in data between the CMOP and Sharp sensors by testing the CMOP sensors with Sharp tubes and comparing the data.
